Privacy Policy

This explains what Four Threads collects when you use the site, why, who else sees it, and what you can do about it. It is written to be read, not skimmed past.

The short version

We collect only what we need to run the assessments, the training, the articles, and the community. We do not sell your information, and we do not share it with advertisers.

You can unsubscribe from our emails at any time, and you can ask us to delete your account and the information attached to it.

Who we are

Four Threads is run by Christine Townsend through CMP III Development LLC. When this page says "we" or "us", that is who it means. You can reach us at christine@christinetownsend.com.

What we collect

  • Your account details: your name, your email address, and either a password or a sign-in through Google. We never see or store your Google password.
  • Your assessment answers and results, if you take the Self-Trust Assessment or the mini assessment, including the 90-day assessment for people who have attended training.
  • Training details: which Leading With Trust cohort you registered for or attended, your agency, and your role, as you or your host gave them to us.
  • What you post in the community: your profile, posts, replies, reactions, and event RSVPs. If you post anonymously, we still keep a private record of who posted so the space can be kept safe, but other members cannot see it.
  • Messages you send us through the contact form or by email.
  • Payment details, if you buy something. Payments are handled by Stripe. We receive a confirmation and your billing email, but we never see or store your full card number.
  • Basic information about how the site is used, such as which pages are visited, the type of device and browser, and roughly where in the world a visit comes from, collected through Google Analytics.

How we use it

  • To give you access to the assessments, the articles, the course, and the community.
  • To send you the things you asked for: your results, your login and password emails, receipts, reminders about training you registered for, and notifications from the community.
  • To send you occasional emails about new articles, community activity, and upcoming training. Every one of these has an unsubscribe link.
  • To run and improve the site, keep it secure, and understand what people find useful.
  • To look after the training itself, such as confirming who attended a cohort so the right people get access to the right community space.

Who else handles your information

We use a small number of services to run the site, and each only gets what it needs to do its job:

  • Base44, which hosts the site and stores account and community data.
  • Stripe, which processes payments.
  • Resend and Google (Gmail and Google Workspace), which send our emails and hold our mailing lists.
  • GMass, which we use to send announcement emails from a Google account.
  • Google Analytics, which reports on how the site is used.
  • Slack, which we use internally to be told when something happens on the site, such as a new community member. Only our team sees it.

We may also share information if the law requires it, or to protect the safety of our members or the site. We do not sell your information or rent it out.

Your agency and your training host

If your agency hosted or paid for your training, they may tell us who is attending, and we may tell them who has registered and attended so they can manage their own cohort. We do not share your individual assessment answers or what you write in the community with your employer.

If your organization sets up a team account with us, the person running that account can see what the team dashboard shows them, and nothing beyond that.

Your choices

  • Unsubscribe: every email we send for marketing or community updates has an unsubscribe link at the bottom. You can also change your email settings at any time under Account and email settings once you are logged in. Emails about your own account, such as a password reset or a receipt, will still arrive because you need them.
  • See or correct your information: you can update your profile and account details yourself, or email us and we will do it.
  • Delete your account: you can send a deletion request from Account and email settings, or email us. We process requests within 48 hours.
  • Cookies: the site uses cookies and similar technology to keep you logged in and to measure how the site is used. You can block or clear cookies in your browser settings, though some parts of the site may not work as well without them.

How long we keep it

We keep your information for as long as you have an account or we need it for the purposes above. If you ask us to delete your account, we remove your personal information, though we may keep what we are legally required to keep, such as payment records, and posts in the community may remain with your name removed.

Keeping it safe

We use trusted providers, secure connections, and access controls so only the people who need to see your information can. No online service can promise perfect security, but we take it seriously, and if something goes wrong that affects you, we will tell you.

Children

Four Threads is for working adults. It is not meant for anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect information from children.

Changes to this page

If we change how we handle your information in a way that matters, we will update this page and the date at the top. If the change is significant, we will also tell you by email.
